It amazes me how so many of the answers here have directly attempted to either sabotage the question, by derailing (no, but men have blah blah blah) - and , worse, they have also tried to excuse these behaviours - by blaming the man... sheesh, i thought feminism was against blaming the victim...! Or does that only apply when the victim is female?
As for a kick in the nuts being a sexual assault - that's precisely what it is. OK, a 'flick' or 'tap' might not be excruciating, but I can assure you a well landed knee or foot planted right can be very debilitating, causes nausia, make him sterile, impotent, etc. etc.
It's a very real risk... and a very painful way to be attacked... especially when sleeping (the most common time for a pre-meditated attack rfom a female).
I believe the motivating force, is the more deranged feminists such as Andrea Dworking, who promoted physical abuses upon men by stating her desire to see men beaten to a bloody pulp.
What a bloody **** that womyn is (pun intended).

To start, I would like to say that I am skeptical of any studies based on demographics, especially as they relate to crime.
Demographics can be twisted in many ways, for example: 100% of people polled say soccer is their favorite sport. Sounds great until I add that I polled 2 people, myself and my friend that I play soccer with.
Crime statistics are the worst, since they are based on reported crimes, or sometimes only convictions, and those are things that get spun by any police department, well before anyone gets a hold of them.
When we hear that crime rates are up or down, sometimes it means overall, sometimes it means averaged over population growth. It always depends on who is doing the study and to what purpose.
Furthermore, Heisenberg says (said) that anytime we study something, we influence the results. It is very easy to back up an opinion if you are looking for data that backs said opinion. Having proofed a few sales packages for my company, I am familiar with spinning demographics and studies so they say what you want.
No, five stories from the last month, picked specifically for their sensational, incendiary content, don't really move me, either way. Same goes for the militant feminists who quote arbitrary historical anecdotes at me. Remove the context or add the converse idea or context, and a 'provable' idea becomes just as un-provable.
so...
1) No.
2) It is the easiest way to 'get 'em where it hurts.'
I'm not interested in defending the women in these stories, I just don't think it indicates any sort of unusual trend. Remember Loraina Bobbet? What about this is so new?

I read the first 2 links and was disgusted by the behaviour of these two females.
To answer your questions, honestly I'm not sure if violence against men by women is on the rise as it would take a fair amount of research over the span of years to make a decision. It could be, it could not be. Need more information.
Second question. It could be due to girls and women taking Feminisms message the wrong way. Feminism first promoted the idea that it was fine for a woman to stand up for herself, but I have seen quite a few of the younger women/teens today having their own definition and not realising that while it's fine to stand up for yourself, it's never ok to attack or sexually assault someone of the opposite sex.

I hate to tell You this but these acts of sexual violence, aggression and perversion are far more common than You may think. I am a Male Nurse and have seen it all before. Women crying Their way to freedom with the collussion of Female Police Officers and Nursing/Medical/Mental Health staff. Normally the matter is resolved behind closed doors so that the injured party (Male) will not have to under go additional humiliation. Men assaulted by Women (or children assaulted by Their Mothers) seldom ever obtain the same level of justice or compensation afforded to Female victims of crime. Truth in sentencing is still only carried out when the assailant is Male. I wonder why that would be?
Is assault of a Man any different to the assault of a Woman? What is the definition of 'assault and battery'? When is Rape not a rape? Is Sodomy or Buggery foreplay? At what point during a castration is the victim (normally unconscious) deemed to be a willing participant? If a blow to the groin is not an act of sexual assault (the genitals being 'touched' without permission) then surely a kick in the 'box' is likewise no form of crime. Or is it?
Now is the time for all right thinking and progressive Women to demand the there be true equality between the sexes and campaign to have mandatory sentences handed down for all crimes of a sexual or violent nature, regardless of the gender of the perpetrator.
Chances of that happening are.......?
We live in a society where it is a daily occurence to witness the portrail of a Men being kicked, punched, shot, stabbed or otherwise struck in the groin as part of the plot of movies, television shows and indeed even comedy skits. And nearly always the Female assailant is allowed to get away with Her crime scot free, if not actually praised for Her action. This happens in a 'politically correct' world where the idea of showing a similar act of violence against a Female is concidered to be socially unexceptable behaviour. Is this a double standard I see before Me?
Crimes of violence against Men are considered to be, by many Women, justified by the presumption of a prior act, or intention on the part of the victim. Surely this is a strange grasp of jurisprudence and a unique form of logic. The worst thing of all is that it creates a misoganistic and reactive backlash against Women.

Clearly, what motivates all this is the knowledge that a woman will get off with a slap on the wrist at best (maybe even get off entirely) bu arguing that the man deserved it (or maybe even that he enjoyed it). Whether it is indicative of a rising trend of female on male sexual assaults or merely the increased reporting thereof is unknown.

According to Cassius the statistics support that 95 percent of these allegations are probably false. The other point is that you seem to have nothing better to do than to scour news articles in search of any kind of evidence to support your skewered theories. Anyone can find dodgy sources but you seem to be especially adept.

Actually, the first one and the last one happened last year.
And these are spread all over the world...Vietnam, Australia, England, Russia.
So no, this is not indicative of a rising trend, since only three of the stories are even likely to be recent (the others may have happened some time ago as well, the articles don't say when they occurred).
I would assume it's probably in keeping with the normal level of occurrence for this type of violence from women.

Teen Boy covered in ketchup and cooking oil and sexually assaulted by three Girls.
The girls, two aged 17 and one 16, were convicted of false imprisonment and causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent.
Inner London Crown Court heard the victim, now 18, was stripped, punched and kicked while the attack was filmed.
It took place in a flat in Woolwich, south-east London, in March 2006.
Begging for mercy
Judge Colin Smith told them that a particularly unpleasant and increasingly common feature of the victim's ordeal was that it was video-recorded on at least one mobile phone.
During the boy's ordeal he was subjected to a "sudden severe physical assault", made to strip naked and forced to perform a sex act in front of the group.
The court heard that in a recording

1) I don't believe so however, reporting has always been minimal in female on male assaults and so it is difficult to gauge. In todays political climate, some men may be beginning to feel less humiliated (some and less being the operative words) and so the number appears to rise.
2) Despite current political correct propaganda, they are still girls and they are still going to react irrational when they get emotional.

i've wondered about this, and i'm a female.
i thought this only applies to certain countries but i think most countries practise this: that the females are protected so the bad publicity won't ever fall on them. i'm not sure who we're protected by, but there are actually cases of men being sexually abused by women, too. they just never made it to the news.
