Hey i was 5'5 1/2 at 18 and im now 5'9 1/2 and still 3 months until i turn 19. That was my first growth spurt i ever had, i never grew in high school for some reason, but just recently started this year. My dad is 6'1 and my mom is 5'7, think my body is trying to catch up to my dads height? and could i bypass my dads height??

yes it's possible. On average the next generation is usually 1/2 an inch to 1 1/2 inches taller than the previous generation but lately they seem to be getting shorter.
There's a pretty good chance.
