Video Card is toast so I took it out and am now having to use onboard video?

Long story short...I'm trying to install the display drivers for my motherboard, but for some reason it just is not working. I'm using the disc that came with my motherboard. Does anyone know of any reason why I am getting this error when attempting to install the drivers: Setup was unable to complete the installation. Check the progress in your Windows directory for more details. What is the Windows Directory and how do I check it? Help!!!

Try reinstalling driver w/ all startups disabled. Click Start, click Run, type msconfig, ok. Select Startup tab. Disable all. You can enable them all later under that same window.
