This is a simple home made recipe that won't hurt your spoons. Make a simple paste by mixing cornstarch with water. use a damp cloth to apply to the spoons. Let dry, then rub off with cheesecloth or another soft cloth to reveal the shine.

Crumplr up some silver foil in the bottom of a large plastic container, pour in boiling water and a couple of large spoons of bicarbonate of soda. Put your spoons in, making sure they touch the foil. Take them out and rinse them in clear water!

their is a product called silver polish at lowes and walmart and i9t wont damage the spoons it is made just for that
