A furniture store closed and ran with my deposit. Looks like there are other victims as well...they took deposit to deliver furnitures and closed up without notice...now they have disappeared...and all their phones are disconnected...
Any help would be appreciated...please be specific with instructions...

Contact the Better Business Bureau in the city where the store was located -- see if they have name or contact info .. either way..file a complaint with them..

Contact the business license bureau or city clerk in the town/city where the store was located..
see who registered the business name or DBA"" a DBA is a Doing Business AS *
like : Joe smith DBA the furniture house;

Contact the local TV stations news channel as if they have a investigative reporter' for such things as fraud or unfair business practices
- many will research this guy and expose him + get your money back..

contact the state attorney general office and report this also..

IIf his store ever advertised in the local newspaper or radio..contact the advertising department and ask about them..who paid for the ads etc..a and inform them of his/ shady practice..

They very likely will file bankrupcy. If they do, you can list your debt as owed to you, but don't count on getting much of it back.
