That was "Love Me Do" when producer George Martin decided to hire session drummer Andy White because he was unsure of Ringo's ability on the drums. Ringo had recently been hired by the group to replace Pete Best. However, another take of the song did feature Ringo on drums and that was the version that became popular in the UK. The one featuring Andy White became popular in the US. Ringo did play tambourine on that recording because he looked so sad that George Martin felt sorry for him and handed him the tambourine to play.
