I keep my friends, I have some that have known me since I was a baby. I have childhood friends that I still have times with.
I rarely lose a friend permanently.

Not too long ago I've had to replace them because none of them were true and all stabbed me in the back. Now I have a group of friends who I feel more comfortable with and hopefully will live up to the "standards" of being a real friend.

If you constantly replace them its called acquaintances ,not friends
Friends you keep for life ,although intensity may lessen or disappear ,because roads part ,of lives grow away from each other

Keep your friends unless they have betrayed you in some way.
Your question reminds me of a song that I learned in Brownie Scouts "Make new friends, but keep they old for one is silver and the other gold.".
Good friends can never be replaced so even if you move on in your life, keep in touch with your friends.

I keep them. I barely have any friends anymore, as we all split apart after high school. Some of us tried to stick together, and we see each other occasionally. They rarely see me though, I don't live at home anymore. But whenever I am, we always get together. Besides, I suck at making new friends.

As far as my personal friends, I do have a small circle of close friends that never change. We add some from time to time, but in the long run it always ends up being just us. It just shows how truly unique and wonderful our unconditional friendship is.
Love and light,
Sassy

I have a network of friends, yet I have only two or three that know everything there is to know about me. I have one best friend who is a woman with whom I can pour out my soul given any circumstance and she with me, and I have a male childhood friend who is endearing as a brother. From that, I am fully blessed and humbled.

My wife and children are my only friends and they can never be replaced. We have no other friends and don't go seeking them. We're not desperate.
