list of banned aquarium fish?

wherre can i find a list of the fish that are illegal to keep

It varies from state to state,but you can find out what's banned in your state by contacting the Fish and Wildlife Service,or Department of Conservation,or what ever that branch of government is called where you live.
Also it's possible that your state doesn't ban the importing of any fish,but may not allow keeping native fishes without a special permit. My state will let you catch and eat just about any game fish,but they require a permit to be kept alive. Go figure.
