Well as # 4 so clearly defines single as unmarried, divorced is in fact unmarried. But we divorced women with children can call ourselves single the same as a divorced man with children can call himself single. Are you implying that a divorced man with children can be single but a woman cannot. If you are looking for virgin to date, you'll be waiting for awhile unless you rob the cradle. Many self respecting single men would not only date but marry a divorced woman with children. A man that would get involved with a woman with children is obviously a better man than you will ever be.

In the brief time between my ex and my husband when I'd get asked out I always said I was single but a package deal. (and always before I accepted the date so they'd be able to walk away immediately) But a divorced woman is single because they are no longer married...see definition #4. It has nothing to do with whether or not there are kids involved.
