Without looking at a map, I'm not positive, but I believe the countries are Sweden and Finland.

The Gulf of Bothnia is the northernmost arm of the Baltic Sea. It is situated between Finland's west coast and Sweden's east coast. In the south of the gulf lie the Åland Islands, between the Sea of Åland and the Archipelago Sea.
It is bordered by Sweden (a part of the Scandinavian Peninsula) on the west and Finland on the east.

Finland and Sweden. Some of my favourite NHL players, from Teemu Selanne to Daniel Alfredsson, r from those countries. I think those 2 also played each other 4 the Cup.
