The Baltimore Orioles. They moved to New York after the 1902 season, and origionally became the Highlanders before changing to the Yankees.

Ironically, Babe Ruth was also from Baltimore, he was born and raised in the area where Oriole Park currently stands. Baltimore did not have a major league team during his time as a player however.

In 1903, They were known in baseball as the New York Highlanders because their old stadium was located on a hilltop. The team had one pennant in 1904, but were never much of a contender. They would lose alot of fans to the Giants and Dodgers.

They where actually the Baltimore Orioles at first & then became the Ny Highlanders before become the Yankees for good.

It's actually the Suckees, which explains the crowds chanting Yankees Suck, nowadays.
