This story broke my heart...i stilll cant read it without crying or becoming ill...i try to put myself in Channon's place and i cant imagine what she had to see happen to her boyfriend...

http://www.snopes.com/politics/crime/newsom.asp

All the suspects are going to be tried in 2008 for 46 counts each (and i think 30 for the female) for basically every henious act imaginable...

What can we do to help get the word out about this horrible crime?? There are many people who still dont know this happened!

Does anyone (maybe from the TN area) know of who can be written to to help push for harsh harsh harsh punishments for these monsters?

Is there a memorial site for the victims?

Also, i didnt find thsi info from Snopes, ive found in on several other reputable news sites...Snopes, i felt, was the most blunt about their distate for how this was handled, which i appreciated

Well, the article said that the reason the story was not so popular was because there were no injustices performed that would warrant the need of the NAACP, Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson to have a reason to blow their horns... At least NOT YET!

Rather than waste your energy on pursuing a memorium to the victims, why not have a letter writing campaign flood the three listed above to explain why they never stand behind their words of "speaking for the rights of ALL humanity, no matter what their race may be..."

But the first moment one of the suspects claims they were abused by 'white guards'... Jesse and Al will wag their tails and rattle their tongues, as they have done countless other times in the past.

You know I am actually glad they are caught and I honestly believe they all will get the death penalty. Whether you are black or white or anything else. No one I MEAN NO ONE deserved that. They were still so young and full fo hope and now it's gone. You can always put it on myspace as a bulletin. Oh how it would get around then. I am just in absolute shock about this. I am hoping word gets out.

This makes me physically ill and no I have not heard of this horrible crime.

Wild animals are more tame than these blood thirsty freaks.

I would say they all should get the death penalty and no appeals.

Tennessee has the death penalty, but they should not be allowed to sat on death row for twenty years, while the taxpayers pays for their meals and etc.

This is not human, they are DEMONIC!!!

Something is wrong with my delete button on my computer.

Wow, that is crazy. Thanks for bring it to our attention. If you really want to get the story out there I would blanket all the major media personalities and shows like Dateline and 48 hours both come to mind. You might not see anything on those shows until the trails are over. It could be that they are already following it, they tend to follow these stories for years before airing them.

That is so awful, how could people do such a horrible thing. I hope them people spend the rest of their life in prison. They don't deserve to live, but I am not their judge. One day they will face the real JUDGE and he does not like murder.

DISGUSTING DISGUSTING DISGUSTING!!!!! These SOB"S should be put to death. No one who's capable of something like that deserves to live. Of course the media didn't report this tragedy b/c they are too busy worrying about the antics of Paris hilton & Lindsay Lohan.

Thanks for letting people know. I'd heard of the story before but not on the mainstream media. Isn't it amazing how they fall all over themselves to try to find a story of white on black violence, but they completely ignore this story that is as horrible as anyone can imagine. We can't depend on them for the truth. Thank God for alternative media sources.
