I am in college, and I am 26 and it seems like they act suspicious when you ask them out, and like it's a sin or something. What do you think, and has anyone been in this situation before? Could age be a factor with them? If I like someone I wold ask them out as long as they are 18. Is that bad????

Well, even an 18 year old young lady might be intimidated by a date with a 26 year old gent.

When looking for dates, stick with gals that you have developed a real friendship with. Or those who are a little older.

It may be the people you choose or the way that you ask them out. If they are 18, it is legal, but a lot of 18-year olds aren't comfortable with men more than a couple of years older than they are (at 18, I preferred younger men). Also, if you are just asking them out, rather than inviting them to some specific event, or if you seem like you are implying something sexual rather than an innocent first date, it may be a turn-off (and not only to the ultra-religious).
