Science can and does prove that primitive organic molecules combined and formed early life forms. These forms evolved over billions of years to become all forms of life. Consciousness is still not completely understood but a lack of scientific proof is not a reason for Divine intervention to be a fact. It may or not be but it isn't proved.

At this point in our understanding, the answer is definitely "no". This question is really better suited for a philosophy forum... no one has a true understanding of exactly what consciousness is, let alone how it arises from groups of molecules interacting with each other. Some think that consciousness is not real, and that our self-awareness just arises from the complex biochemical reactions going on in our brains. Others think that our consciousness arises from a separate spirit or soul, and our physical bodies are just a vehicle for interacting with the surrounding world. There are even views between these two extremes. At this point science certainly doesn't have the answers, and it may very well be the case that science won't ever be able to provide answers.

Say what, now?

Do you mean conscience as in ethical feelings? Or consciousness as in awareness?

Of course even if you cleared that up I still would have no idea what you're talking about.

*****ToolManJobber: Science cannot 'prove' anything. It can also falsify using the scientific method.

What?

I think what you mean is something like this quote I heard in chemistry class my freshman year: "Life is the universe become aware of itself".
