I know you said this was for the ladies, but I think it depends on how tall you are. The average height for a man is 5'9''. As long as the guy is taller than you, because if he is shorter that can make both the guy and the girl feel self-conscious.

I think the answer to this question will obviously vary and be based upon personal preference. I think that society has convinced most people that the woman should typically be shorter than the man. I personally prefer a taller man. As a matter of fact, I'm 5'8" without shoes, but when I'm wearing heels I'm standing at about 5'11". You can't help who you fall in love with necessarily, but I try to pick out the guys that are at least 6' if not taller! I like my boyfriend to be taller than me when I'm wearing heels, because I feel more comfortable. If he's shorter than me while I'm wearing heels than I'm constantly wondering if we look "funny" together. I still feel a little uncomfortable even if he's taller than me when I'm standing flat-foot. At the end of the day it's all in someone's preference and what works for them.

I prefer tall guys Like 6 foot plus. However my boyfriend is the same height as me wich is 5 feet 3 inchs. It's all about whats inside.

Just a comment (since I am no lady, LOL) 5'9" to 5'10" is the average height for Americans. See my source http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/human_height
In my country, the average height for men is around 5'4" to 5'5". At 5'8 you are already considered tall by Asian standards :-) If you feel short, come to my country, you would feel right in place :-D By the way I am 5'8 if anyones counting, measuring or whatever...

that is a really good height. Although pending on other peoples preferences, i prefer tall. My boyfriend is 6'2" and perfect but is a little tall for me but that dont matter and height shouldnt matter as long as you love each other. The taller you are, i guess you should be slender or skinny but they also say the shorter you are is possible to retain weight

It's okay with me. It depends on the woman. I'm about 5'5" and so that's a few inches taller than me. Some women prefer men who are quite tall, but I'm not picky about height.

Height should't matter, as long as the guy is kind, gentle and good to me. It is amazing at how little height matters when a man makes you happy. My husband is barely 6 ft tall and to me he is 100ft tall.

I do not like TALL guys. My boyfriend and soon to be fiance is 5'1'' and he's too tall, lol. I think between 5'7'' and 5'10'' is perfect, then again I am 5'1'', so it may just be because I am short, lol. But, I wouldn't worry about it.
