I LOVE our Cosco Scenera! It is light weight, easy to install, easy to use & fits well in a variety of vehicles. We are going to use it rear facing all the way to the weight limit because it is safer to be rear facing. It gets most kids to 3 or 4 years old forward facing from what I've been told. My little guy is about 9 months & sleeps in it just like his bigger cushier carseat. It's a safe, economical & comfy carseat.
It is well worth $40 & much more. I'm so glad that there is a choice like this one out there.

Hi! I use a Cosco Scenera for my 18 mos old daughter. To be honest with you, I think they are all the same and since this one is the cheapest, then go for it. It is safe and works fine in our grand caravan. I haven't had any problems with it. But I strongly advise you to open the box and check it out before buying it because the first one I got had a crack in the plastic base where it adjusts in the seat. I think that whoever put it out on the shelf must have dropped it or perhaps it was damaged in shipping. Just make sure it isn't damaged and employees don't mind opening it for you to check it, they did that for me.
My daughter sleeps comfortably in this seat and I like the fact that it has a little cup holder in the side for her bottles or drinks. Some may not come with this as I bought mine 6 months ago. Also the pattern of the fabric matches well with most car interiors, it's neutral.

I had one of these for my son and I hated this thing. For one, it is made by Dorel which isn't the greatest car seat company(safety First and Eddie Baurer are made by the same company). The straps always twisted. My son would try in the car seat. I think it was, because there was no padding in the seat. I gave the Cosco Scenera Car Seat away and got a Fisher Price Safe Voyage Convertible Car Seat. I love this seat. It can hold your child until 55 pounds and is also made by Britax. I just saw one in a store for $100.00. My son doesn't cry in the seat and he has been known to fall asleep in it. If you want one of these seats you need to get one soon because they are not making them anymore.

i have one for my daughter. and love it. it is great for extended rear facing (www.cpsafety.com). My daughter is 23 months old and is still rear facing in this seat.
easy to install.
(stay away from the one with the overhead shield!)
Very basic seat, but a good safe seat for the money. Has a taller back, so your Little One can Rear Face longer. (RF to 35lbs) You may have to buy another harnessed seat later down the road when your LO outgrows the harness Forward Facing in torso height around age 3ish. Even though it has low slots, its still a pretty good value... for only 40$ it would bide you plenty of time to save for a bigger seat later. Fist newborns well.

It is honestly a VERY good seat, especially for the price. I, personally, wouldn't buy one; but that is because I like the option of extended harnessing. I have a Britax Marathon and a Fisher-Price Safe Voyage Deluxe for my boys, because they harness to 65 and 55lbs.

looks like a decent car seat. You might check Consumer Report for any ratings/reviews on it.
An important questions to ask before you buy a car seat:
Will it fit in your car?
Does it function as a baby carrier (if you want that capability)
