the second, third or even fourth page of answers? Some of the best answers I have found on the other pages. Can we think of an incentive? Like give them 1 point for picking from the other pages? Most times they don't even look past the first few answers.....shame. If my answer isn't on the first page I know it won't even get seen - same as some of yours.

Land S....I got talked out of leaving because other than you there are some very nice people on here. You must care about the points cause you keep answering questions for 2 points. And besides, why do you care whether I stay or go? huh? Keep answering my questions for your two points. Have a great day.

That's an excellent question !
I myself enjoy reading every single answer that I get, but
it does seem to be rare. Some type of incentive would
probably help, you may be onto something Ellie.
Another thing that's not fair, is that many askers let their
question go to vote and you know what happens there, voters
seem to pick the 1st answer handy.
It is a shame.
Hugs,

I've seen the same thing, the asker took a answer that wasn't very good and eight or nine down are much better answers. It gives the feeling that the question was not important enough to finthe best answer. The other side of that coin are the answerers that haven't read the whole question and it shows when the answerer gets off on a tangent and if they had read the question they wouldn't be answering that way. I don't know if extra points would make any dfference. on another note I will read answers before i answer myself, if someone was an answer I think is correct i will give points instead of answering the question, in that way I reward good answers.

You are so right miss ellie! Sometimes I skip answering a question all together if I know I won't be anywhere on the first page...'cause I know it won't get any consideration...if it even gets seen! Unless of course I just really love the question or it is one of my contacts that I love dearly and know they will look at all of them! I on the other hand always look at all answers to my questions no matter how many or how few! I guess some people just don't care...we just happen to be a couple of the ones that do! *hugs* =D

It would help if the pages held more answers, or there were only so many answers allowed per question. Unless it is my own question, I am guilty of the same - not reading all the answers. Of course, I have a family, job, etc and I don't always have time to read four pages of answers, but then again I don't vote on an answer unless I have read them all!
Hope you are feeling better mom!

HEY land s......you are reported for foul language , name calling and breaking guidelines. Don't you dare call granny an old hag you little snotty brat so the answer to your question is: YES, YOU ARE RIGHT. IT IS NOT FAIR TO EVERYONE THAT ANSWERS ON THE LATER PAGES. IGNORE LAND S he is just a rude bugger.
