I understand most fans will be happy "just getting in" but i have this "bet" (not really a bet because i lose nothing) wherin a local pub owner will give me the 'Yankees Suck" sticker off his beer cooler if they win the division.... and besides... i can't take losing the division to the red sox

Let them write off the Yankees, it's just going to hurt them more when they complete the comeback in Fenway. People can say the Yankees suck all they want, its simply not true, they have the best offense in all of baseball, its a statistic, a fact, not opinion. Boston may not even GET to the ALCS which is a shame because I would LOVE to watch them implode against the Yankees in the LCS.

Early in the season sports writers were saying that the yankees wouldn't make the playoffs because of the 2 bad months they had but since then they've been playing good baseball and they have a chance at the wildcard with great offense for example A-Rod hitting 2 homers tonight with a bad ankle, and as far as defense goes it can get better within the next couple of weeks especially pitching.

Yanks take 2 out of 3 from Seattle.
A-Rod is clearly on Fire and will win the MVP!
Not only will the Yanks get into the playoffs but they will make some Noise.
They do well against the AL Central, and I believe they can take down Cleveland on any given night!

I like your confidence but 6 games is a lot to make up wth 22 left to play. At this point I am very happy to have a 3 game lead in the wildcard standings. Lets just get into the playoffs. Anything can ahppen in a short series.

One thing I've learned over the years and that is that Boston fans don't have a clue. Try as they will, they will never have the success or the class of the New York Yankees.

The only people who are writing off The Yankees are wishful thinking Yankee haters who can't (or won't) learn from history. If my dog were as hard to train as them, I would have him put down for humanitarian reasons.

well never doubt the Yankees I'm a Yankee fan this game was so important those 2 hr by Alex amazing and joba being joba I'm just so happy either way wild card or AL east just get in the playoffs

they might win the wild card because seattle has been playing bad but i cant see them passing the 1st round...the only reliable pitcher they have is wang ! and thats it ! pettite hasnt had a good season clemens has been shaky mussina is done so come on ! theyll have an early exit
