I would think that they would rather try to change some minds instead of "preaching to the choir".

Name one (other than the "gay debate") cable news outlet or network outlet that offered a debate to the republicans that they refused to participate in. They debated on MSNBC

Democrats can not answer real questions on real issues, just look at the questions that the Democrat hopefuls have been asked and compare that with questions asked of the Republicans have been asked.

I don't really care where the Democrats hold their debates (what a laugh that is) I just want someone like Michael Savage ask the questions, then he can ask the Republicans the same questions. Savage does not favor any particular party, he bashes Bush and the Republicans just as often as he bashes the Democrats.

EDIT: Note to ronin, are you or better yet are any of you liberals aware that Murdoch contributed to HILLARY campaigne, Yeah the same guy that owns FOX NEWS.

I DO comprehend why they does not pass on the debates on Fox information. Questions are chosen by ability of those that run the community. that's obvious by ability of the anchors and commentators that opinion performs an extremely reliable component to their programming. And those very comparable those that enable those comments to make it into their "newscasts" are those that are going to get the questions which would be asked. you may actually make a debate biased very somewhat. All it takes is looking somebody a query they won't sense mushy in answering, or wording a query to modern an accusation extremely than a real question. can not say as I blame them. And to be completely straightforward, if I have been a Republican, i does not take part in a debate on their community, the two. Why? through fact human beings will seem at it as an entire farce - through fact they gets the "undemanding questions". they won't, yet previous historic past shows that their comments seem to run alongside the Republican occasion strains - all that it could do is prepare the Republicans as not being too extreme, in the event that they'll pass on a community that favors them interior the 1st place. I propose extremely - enable's have somebody run the SpongeBob SquarePants pilot episode on Nickelodeon to work out if that's going to be a effective prepare. . .

Fox isn't really a news channel. It is cable news! And it isn't fair or balanced!

Who would want to be questioned by a bunch of liars trying to make someone look bad?

They even do it to Republicans! When is it a questioners job to go after a candidate, but Fox did a Republican tonight!

"Alone among the contenders, Paul, a veteran Texas congressman with a libertarian streak, made the case for withdrawing troops. That drew a sharp challenge from Chris Wallace, one of the debate questioners, who asked whether the United States should take its marching orders from al-Qaida.

"No! We should take our marching orders from our Constitution," Paul shouted back, pointing his pen at Wallace for emphasis. "We should not go to war without a declaration" by Congress." AP

Here's one good reason.

I'll guarantee that FOX will go as far down in the level of questioning as they can.

You will hear questions directed to Hillary about Bill and his past.
You will hear questions to Obama about his Muslim upbringing.
You will hear questions to Edwards about ambulance chasing.

Just to name a few.

Have any Debates included questions to Rudy about his cross dressing and the fact that he was married to his cousin? NO!

Have any Debates included questions to McCain about why he isn't doing more in his capacity in the government to bring Vietnam POW's home?
N.C. former Congressman Bill Hendon just published a book in April that outlines the F A C T that even in 2006 the U.S. government has had intel coming in that says 600 POW's are still over there!
Why isn't someone like McCain going after his fallen soldiers?
Would anyone ask him this in a Republican debate? NO!

The Democrats don't want to appear on FOX because FOX has time and again proved that they resort to the lowest common denominator!!

Maybe for the same reason Republican Candidates refuse to appear on any other channel.

They are all seeking a favorable venue.

Besides, Faux News doesn't have any credibility. They have been caught lying too many times.

P.S. danny066: All the other major networks have offered open invitations to the republican candidates to appear and express their views any time they want to, but the repeds are afraid to talk to anyone outside the Koolaid Network's (Fox's) target audience of ignorant, inbred hicks.

To pigs_a_flying: Foxnews set up the debate that the Democ('cough!' excuse me)rats backed out of long before any other media outlets put out any debates of their own. The Republicans are only honoring the agreement they made with Foxnews to appear on their network for a national debate. Have any other news media outlets offered the Republicans any opportunities to come on any of their networks for debates? I haven't heard any yet.

Exactly (to the second commenter). How come the Republican Candidates are afraid to join a Gay debate or a CIO debate?

They certainly aren't afraid. They know it would be degrading to appear on that worthless channel. Who in their right mind would want to be on a show that supports / approves of the likes of crazy warmongering, neo-pundits Ann Coulter and Michelle Malkin?

Why were the Repubs so afraid to appear at the gay debate?

If repubs are so afraid of a gay people, how can they have any courage to fight terrorists?

They are not afraid. They just know that FOX is NOT fair and balanced, as it claims to be, nor are most of the viewers. So what is the point? Run the risk of being manipulated into looking foolish? Let FOX use the event as further pretense of their fair-mindedness? Why should they give them the ratings? Why should they be let themselves be used? FOX doesn't deserve the business. I am proud of the Dems for not falling for the ploy.

Their not afraid, they simpley unwilling because they know that Fox Noise isn't a news channel, it's a 24hr right-wing propaganda outlet. Asking them to debate on Fox News is the same as asking them to debate on Nickelodeon, it just doesn't make sense.
