My boyfriend ten years ago told me that in an interview, Jimmy Page admit that he had aquired his talent from satan in exchange for his soul, and that his music reflects this thru subliminal messages. Subsequently, Robert Plant, learning this the first time, was outraged he had done this, and said he would no longer be a part of it.

Anyone heard anything like this, or anything similar? It is likely my boyfriend had just heard a myth.

This group did the right thing when it broke up. I wish The Who had done the same when their drummer Keith Moon died from an overdose of anti-alcoholism medication in 1978. He really was a major part of the group and they never were the same without him.

The drummer died in his own sick in their own castle and at the time they made the song stairway to heaven and at that time there was the backward masking of alp's and it was a bit of a curse upon them as for the song backwards was about santin and it was about that time that it happen and they had no idea unto it was told. It was a bit of a superstitious thing at the time but enough to put the shits up them. They were on heroin at the time they made the song. I learn t that when I was at high school about twenty something years ago. But today they just say what they want in songs.

lol thats rediculous, john bonham's death led to the beakup of led zeppelin. Robert plant said himself that they werent just going to throw someone on the roster, although jimmy page was an occultist, but that had nothing to do with it. page and plant toured together with each other sometime without zeppelin

John Bonham died. They didn't want to keep going without him.

As far as the selling your soul thing, quit listening to Bob Larson and the Peters brothers.

Lol no..Their drummer, John Bonham died. (alchohol) They simply could not carry on as Led Zepp w/o him.

Page *did* have an interest in the occult & dabbled a bit in it, but that was as far as it went.

Tell your b/f he's got his whole story wrong.

Bonham died of alcoholism.
The band couldn't/wouldn't go on without him.
Which I think is very honorable of a band.

Robert Plant dabbled in solo work, but
it was nothing compared to Zep.

Your boyfriend is very mistaken and needs to be sure about things before he tells you.
