hard to pick
might have to use a field of influence I would pick form perhaps the following three checked
*Moses (check the law giver)
*David (check the man after God's own heart)
*Paul ( writer of most of the New TEstament epistles and greatest preacher of the good news)
runners up:
Augustine
Wycliffe
Martin Luther
John Calvin
William Tyndale
William Wilberforce
George Mueller
Jonathan Edwards
all had positive influences on the world for God
but there are likely men and women working quietly behind the scenes we never heard of
I left Jesus off because He, being God made man, is in His own category

Alexander the Great:
As quoted by Hans Gruber in Die Hard: "When Alexander saw the breadth of his domain, he wept, for there were no more worlds to conquer." The only other man in history who ever achieved as much success in creating an Empire was Julius Caesar.
Jesus Christ of Nazareth:
Regardless of your or my beliefs, an entire religion was based on him, who may or may not have been "just a man." Responsible for the biggest controversies and wars in the history of the world, as well as bringing continued hope and faith to millions of people centuries after his death.
Walter Elias Disney:
Began the creation of the largest and most successful franchise in history, while still reminding us all what it is to retain a bit of childhood no matter our age.

Mother Theresa and Mahatma Ghandi. Both led lives that caused a lot of positive changes for millions of people. I admire the discipline they had to overcome uncomfortable situations to bring about change. My third is of course Jesus Christ who is the ultimate most successful person.

Moses, because he gave us the rules to live by from God, which were the "Ten Commandments".
Jesus, as he gave us the gift of redemption of our sins, and to be able to live in Heaven with God, through his death on the cross.
Pontius Pilot, because he went according to God's plan and even though he did not realize it, nor wanted to, allowed Christ to be crucified, thereby resulting in showing the world God's love and forgiveness for his sins ,and therefore having an eternal life with Him in Heaven.

Christ, Adam and Joseph Smith. Joseph Smith ushered in the final dispensation of the Gospel prior to the return of the Savior. He accomplished the task in spite of sever persecution and the giving of his life. This is the stone mentioned in Daniel that will roll forth and become a mountain. There have been over a million missionaries sent out to proclaim these good tidings.
