How can I ever forget them...they were great. In fact when my daughter use to sing karaoke she could sound just like Karen. There was an older guy there that use to work with the Carpenters and he said that if he didn't know Karen was dead he would have thought that was her singing. Some of the songs my daughter sings is "Rainy Days and Mondays", "Yesterday Once More", "We've Only Just Begun". There are so many...Check the link out...it is very good. Mmm

♥ I'm a fan of great music in general! and Oh! i like a few of their songs! My aunt liked their music,so did my mom. i like a few of their songs too, <>...... and Top of the World was my 5th grade graduation song...

I do like Top of the World... and some of their other more popular songs. (like Close to You, We've Only Just Begun, Rainy Days and Mondays etc that are on the Singles 1969-1973, that most people know.)

But if i had to pick favourites, i suppose it would be:
♥"Whats the Use" (Ticket to Ride)
♥"Saturday" (Carpenters 1971)
their versions of :
♥"I'll never fall in love again" (Close to You)
♥ "Please Mr. Postman" (Horizon)
♥"Breaking up is hard to do" (A Kind of Hush)
♥ "One Fine Day" (Now & Then)
♥ "barachrach/david medley: "..... (Carpenters 1971)
and:
♥"Sweet Sweet Smile" (Passage)
♥"All you get from love is a love song" (Passage)
♥ "Only Yesterday" (Horizon)
♥ "Sailing on the Tide" (Voice of the Heart)

and erm..........
♥"Flat Baroque" and the ♥"Intermission" from (ASong for you) and erm....... i know its a corny song.... but erm, i like ♥"Mr. Guder" (Close to You) ROFL
*sighs* the list could go on..... They just put out really good music. them and i had to sell the rest to pay bills ROFL
They're not my favourite but there a few groups that were so good and classic that you really have to appreciate the quality of their music.

I do remember the Carpenter's, I was a child, kindergarten age, and me and my sister would sing a lot of their songs. The only one that comes to mind right now is "Close To You"
