The team has always been this good, all season long, but it's amazing how much different they play with ace Ben Sheets in the rotation. Having him take the helm of the pitching rotation takes pressure off all the starters and they seem to pitch a lot better. Poor Capuano though, this doesn't deserve that crazy streak he's on, but he'll break out of it. Possible MVP in Fielder, unanimous ROY in Ryan Braun, and middle of a playoff race... Yeah I'd say the Brewers are having a very nice season.

I am a die hard brewers fan, and I really hope that they pull it off. But I've gotta be honest, if they don't pull it together and fast, they'll never fend off whoever decides to challenge them. Ending the season with 4 against the Padres certainly doesn't help either. They have to start playing like they have something to lose, a new concept for them given the last 15 years.
Whatever happens, how exciting will this division be for the next 2 or 3 years? I know the AL is flashier and they have been dominant for years now, but the NL teams are scrapping with each other hard. And they will all be better for it in a couple of years: faster, sharper and hungrier. Give me an NL game any day over the AL.

Brewers get a gift from the dodgers....a sweep of the Cubs coming around the corner or maybe 3 game loss of the cubs in a 4 game set good enough to put the brew crew in the division lead

The game is pathetic. The Astros started a guy who hasn't really played in the majors much and then they replaced him with a guy making his debut. Unfortunately, the Astros have been playing under par the entire season so it's no big achievement. I can't really see the Brewers coming back, but the best of luck to you. I hate the Cubs.

I'm a Cubs fan & I like your team. I don't think they are ready or have what it takes this year BUT, in the next few years they will win a World series.
I think the Cubs are under achieving BUT, i like that the Central is so tight. whatever team wins will be in playoff mode before the playoffs begin.
it's about time the Cards come back to earth & just in time for the Cubs & Brewers to open it up down the stretch.
Good luck!

They better not lose the NL Central because they have no chance in winning the NL WildCard.
