Washburn Lyon Series is named after George Washburn's family name, styling borrowed from Fender's most traditional electric guitar designs, catering for mainstream tastes and affordable pricing, Most of the Lyon Series are Telecaster reproductions, so all i know is your guitar could be a Washburn Lyon Telecaster Reproduction

The bit your heard with amps is totally true, you can make a wal mart crap kit sound great with a marshall dual stack! Anyways. Washburn Lyon sounds hard cord. I am looking into getting a Les Paul (epi) But if I had the cash I would be looking at a Washburn my self. Getting one that is signed would be tight, I am a huge fan of Weezer too. But for gigging? I don't know about that... you want to make an image in the music world? Having someone elses fame all over your guitar makes you look like one of the fans, not one of the artists, for gigging, I suggest getting a signature that will make others want it on their guitar. But if you aren't going to gig with it, go for the signature all the way!

Wahburn Lyon is basically a low-budget version of Washburn guitars, like Gibson and Epiphone.
