Love being on here to help teens. My memory of my teenage life was sometimes great, but sometimes very awkward. Do you feel terrible that you got an answer from a teen from your parents time or do you feel maybe we do having something to add. I think you do and I would like to be here for genuine questions. Or do you think we are out of touch with young people because we grew up in the 80's?

Or maybe it has been forgotten that it was our generation that started the internet? It just has grown since then. I was first on the internet in 1986, with one of the first chat channels. Boy we have gone along way now.

In 1986 I was 18 and this was all so new for us. Now you guys know the interent from a very young age like my children 7 and 9. We looked at this new technology in wonder as you look at it has always been here.

Maybe us older ones think of it as a privilage to have this tool as you are expecting it to be there for you.
Just want to know honestly what you think the difference is between older users and you as someone growing up with the technology.

Hey hey, no problem... Appreciate the insight. Answers from every perspective, every walk of life, add diversity to questions and can teach us a thing or two.
Welcome aboard. :-)
The Internet, as I understand it, was originally developed for the Department of Defense to keep track of people. Whether its spread was an accident or not, I think you and I (and everyone here) can all agree that it is a useful tool and has helped many people with many many things. I encourage you to use this site as often as you want to and help us out with anything you see we need.

Well, I'm not a teen (20 years old), but I still think in a negative, that older people are always too busy to be on such networks like Yahoo! Answers, or any type of social site. It's strange, I mainly expect to see teenagers myself, but still see so many adults such as yourself. I have come to terms with it that smaller children and older people use the Internet too, but I don't know why I find it so strange...
I always feel a bit surprised when I chat with my 12-year-old brother on AIM. Smart kid though. But I remember I could barely use a computer at that age. And that kid's already IMing.

Oh yeah, I recall chatting with you back in the day, 1986 I believe it was. Oh my knee, I think it's gonna rain. Well, anyways... hang on a sec. "Hey, great great grandson, can ya fetch me a Geritol? Make it a double." Ok, where was I... uh... I need a nap.
So, before I head off to possibly my last nap (you never know at this age), what do you young whippersnappers think of me?

I'm a teen myself, but I appreciate answers from the adults on here, because most of them are smart, and more mature when answering a question. I see a lot of stuck up teens on here, it kind of gets on my nerves. The adults are really fun to hang around with.

Well i'm your age and nothing compares to the 80's of today. I sometimes don't agree with these questions and what they are trying to say.I think they maybe a little out of touch themselves.
