What does it mean when you get a feeling of being watched, then see things out of the corner of your eyes and when looking, nothing is there, and then after a few minutes feel a cold breeze just in one spot? I was sitting on the couch, which is this big comfy suede thing that also reclines. I had this feeling that I was being watched, and the hair on the back of my neck literally stood on end. I felt like I was freezing, even though the thermostat is at 80. I then tested it for kicks from what I'd heard, and found basically a spot as big as a person next to me that was freezing. If I moved my hand back to my area or any other spot on the couch, it was room temperature, but for a few minutes right next to me was this freezing cold spot that was also somewhat like a breeze. The AC is off, there are no fans going, and my mom also is a believer in this stuff. What does that mean, besides the fact that it sounds crazy?

it doesnt sound crazy. i believe you have sometthing of a spiritial presence. if it makes you feel better, try looking at your house's background. it could be near a indian burial site or near a major/minor war site or maybe even just a you know....someone passing on in the home. has long as it isnt an "evil" or deminic spirit or it isnt hurting you, i wouldnt worry to much about it.
also i watched this one episode of ghost hunters (great show by the way) and they said that sometimes, when you get the feeling of someone watching you, it could be caused by some of your metal devices or something like that in your house cause they give off high energy just like apparitions. try looking around the room where you felt the presence.
hope that helps
:D

Spooky...Things like this are made for TV, but they are real. When I first read your question, the term "shadow people" came to mind, that is that movement you see out of the corner of your eyes. Spirits that walk through, stay in the shadows because in the light you can't see them. The whole heavy thing sitting on the couch and the cold spot would have put me out of the house the first time I felt that prickle of my hair standing up on the back of my neck. It is not crazy, it is very real. Keeps happening, might be time to go, not like those really crazy movies where they stay, yeah right!! Run, run like your hair is on fire!!

In fairness, I should advise that I'm not a believer in the paranormal - so my first reaction is to suspect that you are in fact crazy. That being said, I think we all get the feeling of being watched or a chill down our spine once in a while. Many of the answers that follow mine I suspect will tell you about a ghost being present or perhaps someone walking over your grave. That's fine as well. Maybe you had some tainted meat or just monetarily wigged out. I wouldn't worry about it - these things happen. It's all good.

I think you may be trying to be contacted by spirits, i would ask your family about past relatives and what they we're like. My mom encountered a spirit talking to her. It was her grandmother. She went to go see a medium, and they told her some freaks things Example: They told her that they had allready picked out their seats for a wedding of one of their grandchildren, on the day of the wedding, two seats in the front row empty. very, very odd. Also run a check on the house you we're in, maybe the ghost has unfinished business in the spot where you live. maybe a tree they wanted to plant or something.

Hope i could help!

I see dead people....

Seriously though, if you watch Haunting on Discovery channel, they tape record in the house and they say it can pick up on things the human ear can't hear. Contact the local university and see if their is a paranormal psychology department and speak to someone there about what is going on in your house.

If you are Christian, call your local priest and have the house blessed.

more than likely ur experiencing a haunting, check for other things, like lights flickering, strange noises and anything out of the ordinary. I get the same feelings too, and this also might sound crazy but i can feel when there are presences at a place.

A lot of words have been written about the subject.

The reading list below can act as a source for you. Most of the titles can be found in your local library. If they don't have them they can borrow them from another library.

it must mean you got a ghost in your house....
and don't worry, sometimes I have the feeling I am being watched outside in my yard or in my bedroom! so its ok I just don't want to know there is a ghost in my house.
so u are not a nut job, nor is it crazy but it might be for non-believers of ghosts. THEY EXIST.
so don't worry, get an excorcist or something....

I would say a loved one was paying you a visit, we came from a spiritual world so it makes sense to me that those who have crossed over still look out for us.
