I think most could not care less about her.
The constant media attention to her is getting annoying but she is great for comics doing topical humor. Jay Leno and Jon Stewart both have told a million jokes about her. That means you can't take her seriously but her misadventures are entertaining.

its not so much that most people hate her, its the fact that they are disappointed with the poor example that she's setting for the millions of young girls that look up to her. what does it say when a child's roll model is in and out of rehab and arrested every 10 seconds? I think that given the right amount of time, help, support from friends and family, and proper lifestyle changes, she'll be back as a positive roll model soon enough.

no. She`s a good and cool girl at heart.....but she has been through some crudd and she hasn`t had the best life. She has made some wrong turns, but she is trying to get back on the straight and narrow. She used to be one of my favorites.....but not in the last 2 or 3 years.
I think it just goes to show that you could be pretty, rich and successful....but you might still never be happy. You need to find God!!!

Im not an american but this girl is still a kid right...I read somewhere Jodie Foster is pointing the finger to her mum...she is the one to really blame....i quess she has exploited her daughter from too young an age and now is facing her real troubles....I quess she is already sick and tired and bored with her Hollywood-dream...its never as good as.....in the end

Every American? LOL...Most people could care less. She's a pill poppin girl that likes to party and drink way too much. I know a lot of girls like that. Only difference is they're not full of freckles and don't have as much $$$.

i do not hate her. i hate for her. what i mean is, she has lots of issues in her life right now. i think she is at least making an effort, even if it is a half-hearted one, and i really hope she can pull through!

i dont know if hate is the right word at all. i think she is just badly misunderstood and that people are watching the poor girl's every move just waiting for her to screw up.

no. shes just a bad example and no director in their right mind would hire her bc of insurance. no1 knows if she'll show up on time or if she'll show up sober...
