I think the best bet would be to ask the doctor who prescribed it to you. I take Xanax when needed, not on a daily basis, so my first reaction would be to tell you it's okay, but then again, everyone is different, so ask your doctor before you start or stop anything.

you will not have any health problems stopping this medication after one month. It may take you time to get back to sleeping normally. I recommend you drink a cup of Chamomile Tea with honey in the evenings. This will help you to sleep.

No, you shouldn't. Unless your psychiatrist or doctor said you should stop, you should continue with your medication as prescribed until they tell you to stop talking it or modify it.

Never stop a benzo cold turkey. Always taper even if you have taken 1 dose. Benzo's are poison.
