During the regular season - Cal. Just watch the tape of the Tennessee game. Cal has speed and size and the game at home in Berkeley.
In a bowl game - Possibly LSU, but the Tigers' offense needs to pick it up dramatically (the 45 they scored against a very bad Mississippi State team was due more to 6 picks thrown by MSU QB's than it was to anything LSU did on offense). Their defense can keep them in, but USC's defense is underrated vs. some other teams, especially with the best linebacking corps in college football.

Cal, UCLA, Oregon, Arizona State, Oregon State and Nebraska would all be considered possiblities. The Trojans barely got past Washington and Washington State last year, and both teams could be improved. I don't see the Trojans as the juggernaut they've been advertised to be, but it's only been 1 game. The fact is that the rest of the Pac-10 is slowly catching up to USC.

I think Nebraska has a very good shot at it. Nebraska started out a little slow against Nevada, but when they got going.......WOW! I'm a Horns fan and I'm a little nervous about the way the Huskers are looking this year. Also, I read that USC had to convert five 4th downs to get the score as high as they did against Idaho. Nebraska looks good to hand USC their first defeat. After that, if Cal continues to play like they did against Tennessee, USC may very well lose again. You asked for opinions, this was mine.

three teams.......
Cal, LSU, Florida.
UCLA and a coupla others could pull an upset if USC gets complacent like last year. USC, like a lot of power schools, can also be their own worst enemy.
of course USC could also beat all of these guys....if they remember to bring their A game. And hey, I can always hope for a freakin miracle, and somehow have Notre Dame pull off the win...............maybe in 2015 or so.
But I think your biggest fight will be Cal. If they play like this all season..........damn.

I'm a bay area native and Cal has an avg. defense and will give USC a game but USC is the class of the nation. It will have to be in the championship game. ND is terrible and UCLA is good but USC won't take them lightly this time.
LSU is really good with great team speed. The QB will either lead them or cause them to not quite make it.
Oklahoma is extremely talented with maybe the fastest overall team in the nation with the best OL, great RB's and WR's. If their QB plays well, they can stay with USC. Oklahoma also has the best DB's in college and fanstastic LB'S. USC is awful good though.

i'm not bought on Georgia. they have a great QB and a great working back, yet that's a set that lost to a 6-6 group, and struggled against Vanderbelt. They beat a solar convention group by ability of 10. Their great wins have been against Florida(who have been given uncovered against michigan) and Hawaii. don't get me incorrect i think of they seem to be a sturdy group, yet uncertain they deserve a desirable 3 score. i does not argue with OSU, Georgia, or USC in the event that they're ranked style one. OSU is 4-2 in BCS video games, i'm getting somewhat ill of listening to they are able to't win the great one. while they have been 4-0 all and sundry replaced into announcing they are able to't win all of them, that's actual. no remember who starts the season style a million, i could think of the winner of USC/OSU could be style a million, except georgia beats ASU by ability of 70 and the winner of the different pastime seems sloppy doing it. in my opinion i could have OSU style a million, yet that could desire to be stated very very nearly each and every 3 hundred and sixty 5 days through fact i'm a buckeye fan.

Oregon and Cal. I think that USC will NOT finish this season undefeated, they WILL fall to one of these two.
