Good Lord your the only one not getting it. Already they have several prospects that the NFL are looking at on both sides of the ball. USC was literally bored playing a game Idaho team. USC by far has the best talent in the nation with many backups being better than the starters. This year they have great RB's going 3 deep and they by far have the best WR core in football.
Matt Leinart and Reggie Bush haven't been their for 2 seasons now.
I guess you shouldn't get Texas which almost lost at home to Arkansas St., Auburn which got outplayed and if it weren't for the stupidity of the coaching staff would have lost at home to Kansas St. Its the first weekend of the season; stop being a hater. USC is the closest thing to a pro team in the college ranks.
I hate USC but I also study football and people east of the Mississippi dont' get anything not in their time zone. There's a reason why the voters have them overwhelmingly #1.

White, Bush, and Leinart weren't there last year. USC has a corp of running backs that are almost interchangeable parts, and picked up a number of recruits that can fill in for Jarrett and Smith (you must have missed the 1-handed catch that Vidal Hazelton made against Idaho).
Booty is a senior and may not be quite as good as Leinart, but he doesn't need to be. As for a QB to replace him, Mitch Mustain transferred from Arkansas and will most likely start for USC (he was 8-0 as a starter for the Razorbacks last year).
And the defense will give anyone fits.
That's why they're #1.

The funny thing about college is you always lose people, its not who you lost but who you have. Take McKnight, this kid could be the next Reggie Bush, what did he do last year? He was in HS. You could lose 40 guys but if you have talent coming in and they can play ball you are solid. Florida lost a ton of guys too, they'll compete. Knowshon Moreno is a frehman, but you saw him run wild for Georgia last week. Now don;t get me wrong experience is a good thing; but I'd rather have a young talented team, than a bunch of returning mediocrity.

I'll say they're the best until beaten, but I won't be suprised if they're beaten this year. The rest of the Pac-10 is catching up to them, Nebraska is better, I think they're days as a Juggernaut are coming to an end.
