They're spouting off Leviticus and Paul's Letters (bless them), whilest essentially daming us to their dear God's burning region of fun and torture; that is unless we comply with the lack of physical love they're offering. Oh dear.
Of course, I could mention the usual mixed garments, shrimp feeds, selling ones children into slavery or stoning the next door neighbors, but really -- that's been done.
Oh dear dear christian Folk, what are you really angry about? Put aside the religious rant and really get it off your chest. If you keep it clean and polite I won't say anything to the Great Gods of Yahoo. Just keep it clean and keep religion out of it.
What *really* bugs you about us?
Is it we're happier than you? (okay, I've a 27 year marriage and you don't....)
Do we smile too much?
Is it the Rainbow? (too bright?)
Come on...give me a clue. I'd really like to know. I'm giving you your shot here to do it without bringing religion into it.

Tony: Dearest, I really wish you had accepted email. There was no slam intended to any LGBT who is Christian or of any Faith. I simply dislike those who like rubbing their religions in the faces of others.

SoberLibra: Yes, the Religious Folk seem to be leaving this one alone oddly enough. You would think with an open forum, they'd be right in with both feet.

WELL now . What makes me most angry about you people is that you are not on your knees praying for the salvation of your craven, wretched, hot, sweaty, nubile, immoral, heathenish, sinful selves , as the God-fearing and moral parishioners of my church are. . .
. . .you are instead out enjoying life ! I find that extremely annoying ! Repent ! Repent I say !
That is all.

enable's take a sampling of atheist comments at right here and then make a determination. i do no longer think of all atheists are immoral or evil. yet to be thoroughly honest, if there is one greater argument to make for there being a God, it is that there is a clean distinction between the way Christians take care of others (definite, even at right here) and atheists take care of others. Christians can no longer take credit for that distinction via the way. Christians are purely distinctive interior the way they take care of others because of the fact they have converted lives. God does the artwork. i'm purely gazing what I see at right here. i've got seen human beings brokenhearted requesting help and the incredibly some comments that the atheists make are appalling. don't get me incorrect, i'm no longer mad at atheists. I even have compassion for them. yet I do see a clean distinction in habit.

yes, I really love it how complete strangers try to tell me how to live my life and tell me I can't be happy unless I lie to myself and others and pretend to be someone I'm not.
and also, how they assume the we can't be or aren't Christian...or even hate Christians because we're gay. No, we don't. I am, as are all of my LGBT friends, Christian. I have nothing against Christians. I have a problem with people who "use" religion to justify the fact that they are nothing but bigots. Christianity is about love and acceptance, not preaching hatred and intolerance.

Yeah, but they're only fooling themselves. They're not fooling many of us.
They're only here to find somebody they can feel superior too (we gay folks are always good for that in the fundamentalists' scheme of things) or to get titillated about something they'd really like to do themselves, but don't think they can: come out.
So I say: C'mon Otter. Let the poor guys have their fun where they can find it. God knows there isn't much fun and light and happiness in their spiritual lives.

It's been my experience that blind hatred (like blind faith) has no rationale.
Their contempt is little more than the words of an irresponsible parent; implanted hatred on a dull mind like footprints cast in mud.
How could they possibly defend words they merely recite with mediocre comprehension?
When all the rhetoric is stripped away we're left with very little substance.

you know what i think? i think it's guilt.
nobody is sin free, and they satisfy their own guilty conscience by deluding themselves into believing that they are "converting" bad people to good people, posting stupid sites like "www.godhates****.com"
they fail to realise that by judging us, they are just commiting further sins by their own religion, and they fail to realise that not everyone has to live by their own morals and ethics.
i'm sorry, but you have to pick one, continue attacking gays because of their sexuality, or "judge not lest ye be judged", technically whichever you pick you're picking and choosing what parts of the bible you want to follow "and they are then bastardising the religion) or by doing both, they can become another bunch of glorious hypocrites, judging others but excluding themselves from judgement.
if they all followed the example in the bible, "let he without sin cast the first stone", then there wouldn't be any such needless persecution.
it's as i always say, even the devil can cite scriptues for his own purpose, and the bible needs to be read as a whole, not as individual lines.
but then again, i'm an atheist, what do i know?
(note, this is aimed at the people who use their religion as shield for furthering their own ends, it isn't directed at -real- christians, who can live without judging, and more power to them for being able to do so)

Dear Riverotter7 for Da,
"Oh dear dear christian Folk, what are you really angry about?"
To paraphrase the great bard himself… “Me thinks the homophobe doth protest WAY to much.”

It bugs me that they don't care about our "eternal souls," they just try to convert us for their own benefit. They want to be able to list "converted a few gays" to their list of good deeds when they go up to whatever Heaven they're going to.

I agree the rainbow is rather bright.
I've learned that their anger is not about me, it's about them, and I rarely take it personally anymore.

Now, I'm going to pray that you all become str8 & utterly miserable. See you in church. (Hypnotic drum roll and chanting ensue, stand by for the 'free will collection' ) :)
