i have regular peirced ears. i want them to be gauged but i dont think im goin to go big enough to where they wont close. what size should i get to get them bigger? or can i just put like an 8 in?

Both my daughters gauged their ears and now wear size 6 gauges. One daughter did it gradually by going up a size ever couple of weeks. The other decided to do it the quick way and jammed in a set of 10 gauge earrings the first time. Then she went to an 8 and finally a 6. She said that you have to be willing to put up with quite a bit of discomfort for the first few days and then it goes away. My guess is that you can do it however you feel is best. If you want to be able to wear larger sizes quickly, then go for it if you're willing to put up with the discomfort. Otherwise, do it more gradually like my older daughter did.

If you dont want them to big then get a 14 or 12 gaug.
