No, but if they have a rack underneath (generally designed for newspapers) you can do it there, or in/under the door, etc.
But be careful however you do it the fliers don't end up blowing all over the place. Little annoys me more than having to pick up several fliers that blew into my yard because some yahoo decided to just lay them on everyone's doorstep.

It is a federal offense to put anything in a mailbox unless you are the post man. I recommend taking an extra few steps and putting the flyers on the door.

That's a federal offense.... only US mail can be put in mailboxes. However, you can put flyers in a plastic bag and hang in on the mailbox, or a tree, or the front door...

No, like the other said, but you can put your advert in a plastic bag with a rock to hold it down and place it underneath the mailbox. I got about 1 out of 100 responses that way. Same as door hangers. Jennifer
