♡You'll find useful info here at the Animal Quarantine Service site:

~Go here to the "Entry into Japan - Rabbits" page. It should give you the information you need to bring it here to Japan.

The animal quarantine service site referred to above has all the technical information needed.

Getting the right paperwork may take a LOT of time and be expensive. As an example, one person I'm aware of spent over US$5000 and a couple months time (and about a week taken off of work) getting all the shots, microchipping and appropriate export paperwork for his dog.

The requirements for rabbits fortunately seem to be less stringent (no vaccination/microchip requirements on the Japan side), so you may have it easier than this.

You need to ask the Japanese embassy closest to your city. They will tell you exactly what to do or who to talk to. You will likely need to get certain vaccinations done.

Good luck. Your rabbit will be a lucky bunny if it gets to go so far with you!

in case you're coming right here with the US military, you will ought to ask THEM what the standards are. the US military are a regulation unto themselves, and the regulations positioned on people at the instant are not utilized to them!
