Women have something called a hymen. The hymen is a membrane blocking part of the vagina. When having sex with a penis, the hymen often breaks. The presence of the hymen is often associated with virginity, though the hymen can break without having sex (like while horseback riding or sticking things in there). Because they hymen can grow back after a long healing, many women feel they can become virgins again.

However, they are technically wrong (though I like to think correct in spirit). You cannot masturbate away your virginity. Virginity is a social concept - that means you can only lose your virginity by having genital on genital sex because that is how we have defined the word.

Now about your absent period. It's possible that you're just a light bleeder. It's possible that stuff ain't goin' on that should be. If you have had semen in or on your vagina, you could be pregnant. You cannot be pregnant if you have not had semen in or around your vagina.

Depending on what you're doing during phone sex and where you're bleeding from, you might need lubrication. Another possibility is that this blood is what would otherwise be your period. If you don't have enough blood to start a flow, it might not come out until the muscle contractions that go along with your orgasm.

If you are concerned about your lack of a period, you should talk with your parents, a doctor, or a trusted adult about it. They can help you more than anyone online can. You should also not enter in any conversation about this online unless you have met the person you're talking to. Yahoo Answers is a good choice for a public, safe dialog about this - but be sure you stay careful.

no, you lose your virginity by having intercouse, the bleeding may be because you are a little "rough" on yourself (lol). Remenber that the vigina is a sensitive area and you can damage the inside and risk infection if you're too "tough" on yourself (lol). saying that, trim your nails or use something smooth and clean, you know they sell "toys" for that, so start saving up your allowance, good luck on you long distance ralationship and have fun. Also masturbation is something healthy and there is nothing wrong with it, you shouldn't be dicouraged, If you feel comfortable, you can talk to a gynocologist. Have fun.

You have not lost your virginity. The only way to lose your virginity is by having sexual intercourse. As for the period lateness, 5 months is a long time i would consul your ob-gyn or family doctor. And don't listen to all of these other people. Masturbation will not harm you.

Aww I hate to say it but I laughed when I read this. I think you can break your hymen when you masturbate. And you only lose it once not over periods of time. Oh and why the hell is a 13 year old having any type of sex even phone sex? What is the world coming to. =(

If you're using a dildo, then you may have pushed it in too far and broken something. You need to have that checked. And what are you doing even having phone sex at age 13? Why do you kids want to grow up so fast?

You haven't lost your virginity. It IS possible that you could break your hymen (a fold of mucous membrane partly closing the external orifice of the vagina in a virgin) which could be the cause of the bleeding. You can still be a virgin even if your hymen is broken. Many females break their hymen before ever having sex, from using tampons and stuff. You are still a virgin until you actually have intercourse.

You are a virgin until you have vaginal intercourse. The hymen can be broken well before the loss of virginity from masturbating, tampon use, sports. Breaking the hymen does not make you a non-virgin having vaginal intercourse makes you a non-virgin.

No, u can not masterbate your virginity away. You can pop your cherry that way. but that doesn't mean your not a virgin. You actually have to ahve sex to not be a virgin.

Besides you are to young to be doing that kind of thing. Shame on you!
