to the next upper energy level.so imagine a black paint on a car in the sun being heated up.
so the sun gives electrons,and the paint atoms consume it and the electrons in the atoms of the paint go to the next energy level..right
so if it goes to next energy level it gains energy
so how is that we feel the heat .because according to the thery heat is given out only when energy is lost


im really confused about this

The energy from the sun comes in pulses of energy "particles", not in a continuous flow. This is what quantum theory is all about.

So when the pulse of energy hits the paint, the electrons move up. In between the pulses, the electrons move down and the energy gained is released again.

The photons have momentum and bump into the molecules of the paint increasing their kinetic energy, thereby heating them up.
