hehe, i meant astronomy, but now that you've mentioned it I'll have to ask the same question again in myth.

Astrological event - you would need to ask that in Mythology or entertainment, this is the astroNOMY category.
If you mean the next astroNOMICAL event, then that depends on what you classify as an event:
- the next full moon is September 26
- the next major meteor shower is the Orionids, October 2-Nov 7, peak on Oct. 21
- Venus appears only 2.5 degrees south of Saturn the night of October 15 (called "conjunction")
- Mars is at opposition December 24/07

That funny that you asked this because last night I was watching the History channel..and thats excately what they were talking about and the many different ways that NASA and such, have, to obscure one if it was coming towards Earth. So i dont remember the name they gave it but they calculated it to be 2029...and I remember this because as I was listening to it I was trying to figure out how old I would be by then. It was very interesting and informative but scary in fact ..to think about.

probally life on mars. i mean think about it, they've basically found everything else on that planet, what's left to find? apparently it did contain water at one point, so it's certainly possible.
