Shame occurs when your realize you were/are wrong and why and have embarrassed yourself.
To be shamed is like when cops set up a sting in a bathroom and catch someone in an embarrassing situation.
In language; I am ashamed of the way that a certain political party shames one or two of its opponents before every election. Usually in a key primary state. They should be ashamed of themselves for providing the opportunity. Wasn't it a shame he behaved as he did?

"Bad Dog" Shame is a feeling of guilt. Being sorry for having done something wrong. Shame and disgrace are fairly equal in meaning.

I responded to another of your questions regarding regret. What I discussed in my response to that question is a perfect example of the shame I feel about how I treated my wife prior to learning she was bi-polar.

It's a shame that there are so many pedophiles allowed to run free in this country. It's a shame that children aren't protected better from abuse of any kind!!

shame is something that you feel bad about and if you could do it again you would not.a exemple is stealing something or lieing it all start with the little things but it can all add up
