I was forced to learn how by my optomitrist. Basically you always put it in with your dominant hands' index finger. But let's say your right handed:
Put the contact on the tip of your finger (towards the nail). Your going to open your top eyelid with your left hand middle finger (grabbing the lid past the lash and onto the skin a little bit). Your left hand is going to be on top of your forhead pointing down. Pull your bottom lid down with your right hand middle finger - *note* : your contact is still on your right index finger. Get your eye opened up nice and wide. Make sure your eyes aren't watering so that your hands don't slip and it's also best to pull down your bottom lid a little closer to your nose (this helps open your eye up better). Look straight ahead and square your body up towards the mirror. Place the contact directly on the color portion of your eye so that it can suction on there. Once it looks like it has stuck on there- go ahead and close your eye, patting at the contact through your closed eylid. Patting it ensures that there are no wrinkles and that it is suctioned on. Do the same with the other eye/contact- using your right hand to put the contact in.
There are variations of the method I described. Depending on your preference you may want to change a few things. Make sure your rinsing off the contact each time you mess up and don't put it in successfully. - You do this so that you don't get eyelash crud in the contact. (You Will feel the crud if your not rinsing it off each time)
-With taking it out, i pull my bottom lid down, move the contact downwards away from my pupil and gently pinch it off. (Taking it off is way more simple).
Well, I hope i helped!

i know i have the same problem and my eyes are tiny tiny tiny tiny
heres what i do
(this is for soft lenses)
right eye first
get the contact on your left hand first finger
take your right hand, put the first finger so that the eyelashes of the top lid are over it and the bottom lashes are being pushed down, from there push your first finger up so the lashes are pulling your eyelid up to as high as you can
take the middle finger on the hand with a contact with it and pull that lid down
now stick you contact in, look straight ahead and keep your other eye open (it will weel weird, when its in blink a few times to make sure
repeat on other eye
and dont switch hands
