I have not and do not plan on it. I have no intention of using any software by that dean of mediocrity. One major problem I have with it, in case you were interested, is it "phones home" (it informs Microshit what you have on your computer and what you do with it, as it were any of their damn business). Another major problem I have is the need to upgrade my hardware to run it. I have a good video card, a dual core 2.0 ghz CPU and 1 gb of ram, and from what I understand, that wouldn't be enough to run that ridiculous operating system. I have seen the light and the light is Linux.

It somewhat relies upon on what you're searching for. I grew up using abode windows all my existence yet transitioned to Macs some years in the past and have in no way grew to become decrease back. abode windows is greater effective for networking and often used compatibility, provided that lots of the paintings stress makes use of abode windows. additionally, maximum game enthusiasts use abode windows for taking part of their laptop video games. although, for something imaginitive like music, pictures, paintings, action picture making, Macs are fairly a thank you to flow. As, with classes like Boot Camp and Parallels, you may use abode windows on a Mac. the element with Vista is it is abode windows attempting to apply particular issues from Mac. All they actually wound up with replaced right into a unsuitable abode windows equipment it is way less like minded. I paintings with computers, and we don't help Vistas. So, it somewhat relies upon on what you would be using your laptop for. i'm hoping this helped!

I've tested Vista out and I don't see the point in upgrading or getting Vista at all.

Two of my MAJOR complaints are that it runs slow and software/hardware compatibility issues.

I don't see why I want to go backwards in upgrading to get less performance and less stability for a few glittery shine. Not worth it, in my opinion.

If you already have XP, you're not missing much.

I have Vista Home Basic ... and I personally like it. Aside from the fact that we can now have cool gadgets on our sidebar and change the color of our taskbar, I find it very modern, update, and easy to use. Everything is organized in such an easy manner, and its easier to find a single file or program.

I've said from day one that Vista is going to end up like MS 2000, and it is well on it's way to doing so...

Vista sucks, XP is better, Ubuntu has impressed me totally...

I don't mind it that much but it is a pain to get around. You can't just go to a file you have to go through 3 or 4 folders first and how many times do you have to verify you want to do something.
If I didn't want to do it I wouldn't be doing it. They treat you like you're an idiot.

I have and I like it. Because for one reason is that if you have a program that is not for Vista, it will automaticaly update the driver.
