Do you consider Carlo Filice alturistic and if so do you think his article "On the Obligation to Keep Informed About Distant Atrocities" is biased? I mean, he blames the US for all worlds problems, accuses the US of creating bloodshed in 3rd world countries and he believes that we are naive to the worlds problems and we should enlighten ourselves so we can help others. Any opinions?? I want critical opinions please.

Also, does his rhetoric sound somewhat socialistic?

From what you said, he is definitely altruistic. Please read Ayn Rand now!

Have you considered what it would mean if his thoughts were accurate? The choices are: a) you are already enlightened, or b) you need to be enlightened. As well, what should happen to whomever is responsible for the plight that others face? This is more telling of a person's motivations for believing than the actual content.
