25 years later, we're still great friends!

She got a degree from a university, got a job with an insurance company, lived her mom 'til she was thirty, had a nervous breakdown, then finally bought a house of her own. I had lost touch with her after high school for about twelve years, then got in contact, and now I haven't heard from her in 15 years.

I really never had a high school best friend
but I do have a friend I have known since I was 11 and still in contact with her.
Shes one of my best friends in the whole world.

He was in a car accident at the age of 22 with severe brain damage and paralyzed from the neck down. He is essentially close to being a vegetable. But he does recognize people and smile.

She had a schizophrenic break when she was 19. She gave birth to 3 children while she was in the hospital and put them all up for adoption. She married later on and had another child who died of SIDS. She and her husband were so poor, they had to bury the baby in a cardboard box in an unmarked grave. I havent heard from her in years.

She's across the country from me; I'm the one who made the big move. She's a mommy of two and getting by as best as she can with her family. We still talk when we both have time, we've actually been friends since sixth grade.

After 15 years of friendship, we are still as close as we ever were! Its something very rare these days, to have a friend for life, and I feel so blessed that she is still and always will be my BEST friend!

I still talk to her but I got into a fight with her boyfriend, and he apologized but things are not the same at all. I don't even know what to say to her. We've been friends for like 8 years.

She... *sighs* Is living in a crap apartment with another girl. Basically drugging and drinking, and hooching every night. Neither of them have a job, or cars... she is just in a very bad place. I only wish I could scoop her up. But I have to worry about my kids first.

We are still friends but not best friends. We live in the same town......she wasn't very nice and I finally figured that out. I have some real good friends now! YAY!

She died in a car accident on March 17, 2002. My best friend since 8th grade-- 1990. I still cry when I think about her.
