You're a fool if you buy property without seeing it or having a personal representative inspect it.

It depends on your idea of good. Are you looking for a good school for your kids? Low crime? Good resale value? An area with a lot of stores within walking distance? A neighborhood with a lot of trees?

You have to decide exactly what features you are looking at and the order of importance. Break it down and then meet with a realtor - it's possible over the phone - to discuss the home you are looking at.

Buying out-of-state is totally fine, but you have to do more research over the phone and on the web.

Good luck with the move!

Well Josh what exactly are you saying is a "good" location? It's like wanting a "large" room, well how large? It's subjective. Be specific. If you're looking to find out about crime in the area, talk with the local police. Talk to the staff at city hall. Look up the neighbors and try calling them.

Contact a realtor.
