I traveled with Troy to Fayetteville (AR). I have never in my life seen more crazy fans and i heard people talking about it being a quiet game for them. I have been to 23 different stadiums are nothing was like Fayetteville. Does anyone else know of any other team that has awesome fans??

Does loyal mean you don't whine and complain that your team sucks and coaches need to be fired when they lose two games a year? Because then there are no teams that have loyal fans!

I went to an Arkansas game in Fayetteville and the stadium was definitley great for noise, but I wasn't impressed by the fans "craziness". They sat there silent as a stadium can be the whole time their team was down by a few TDs, then didn't pick it up until they were within a FG.

I think South Carolina fans are most loyal, since they still have rabid fans even though they usually get whipped by the big SEC teams year after year. They still had a full house when they were winless a few seasons ago!

Iowa fans are great for craziness, for big games they will scream the entire game even into OT, unless they are passed out from tailgating first. And even though they didn't win the OSU game, the "Troy Smith love unicorns" sign was my favorite ever

Wisconsin Badger Fans!!!! Why????
1.Our team is #5 in the nation.
2.Madison has been named America's best college sports town by Sports Illustrated, Scott Van Pelt of ESPN, and other sources.
3. UW Madison has been named the #1 party school in the country by the Princeton Review and Playboy making for a great pre-game atmosphere.
4. Traditions like Jump Around, Swingtown and other student section chants, the 5 different forms of the wave (regular, slow, fast, backwards and double)
5. The band. One of the best in the country and very involved with the fans and getting people pumped up. Wisconsin fans love the game so much more than half stay for the 5th quarter where the band plays.
6. Travel. Badger fans travel like no other. Tickets to the UNLV game are sold out because of all the Badger fans going, a ticket to the UNLV game againt the Badgers is $60, season tickets to UNLV cost $90. The best example of fans following the team anywhere was the 94 Rose Bowl where Wisconsin played UCLA. For those who do not know UCLA's home stadium IS the Rose Bowl, but 75% of fans were Wisconsin. And even more went all the way to California with promises of tickets from airline packages, but the airlines did not consider how many Wisconsin fans there would be and could not provide them, so the crowd could have been even bigger.
7. Wisconsin fans are just loyal in general. the Packers have one of the greatest followings in the NFL, and the Brewers who have not had a winning season since 92 still have tons of loyal fans.(enough to build a new stadium.)

By the way I have been to a Michigan game and there was no partying or tailgaiting going on before the game and people sat pretty quitely in the stadium for a pretty close game, it was as if it was something they had to do, just go to the game and get it over with.

Loyal = Nebraska. They fill the seats even when the teams is down. Think their stadium sellout for home games is going on if not the record. They also travel very well....remember the Sea of Red in I think it was the Rose Bowl a few years back?

Craziest = Many teams can make a case and you'll get alot of biased answers. For me I'd say Ohio State since they have nothing else to really go crazy about since the lack of Championships brought in by the pro teams in Ohio is hoorid. And this is coming from a Michigan fan. Oregon, LSU, PSU, Florida could all make a good case as well.

Quietest = Michigan. You can here a pin drop if you listen closely enough.

well my vote goes to... the team that paid $4 Million to a coach then beats up on a BAD team that was 2-9 in 1AA and now think they are a National Title contender.. .. stupid, crazy and loyal.. Alabama fans take the cake.. not to mention they set a record and put 90,000 people in the stadium to watch a SCRIMMAGE.. I guess they needed to watch a game they were gauranteed to win

I say the Wholes SEC conference, the team in that league is a rabid crazy about their football teams. They live, eat and sleep football, I'm being a USC and PAC 10 fan, we like our teams, but we have priorities too, not just football. My vote goes to the SEC conference team as a whole.

Texas A&M, it is a straight up colt. Their core is a nice little fake-army, made up of fun-loving kids in freshly-purchased Toys-R-Us uniforms. They're so used to getting creamed by UT they even made bending over a tradition.

There are several that come to mind, like Tennessee or Oregon or Florida, but the one I thought of first - Nebraska.
