It is possible depending on exactly my husband returns home that we will only have 4 days to spend together before his family wants to come a visit. I am afraid that my husband will not understand my need for alone time and I am worried that if I talk to him about me wanting more time with him, he will say no and of course that would hurt me. Any suggestions or help you can give? Oh we are planning a trip to see them for the holidays about a month after they want to see us.

Look he went through something terrible and hes close to his family also. four days with you is fine you also have the rest of your lives and he needs to see them he worked hard to be sure we are safe at nite and free. so please you can take another time for yourself. you got 4 days and then his family and they you will be alone again so take care and let him have his days.

Try to remember that his family missed him as much as you and 4 days is longer than they want to wait but know you need that time dont be selfish you will have him alone again when they are gone
Dont put more pressure on him than he has already had
