hey guys, tomorrow I start High School. (Thursday, June 6th) I'm starting to get pretty nervous, but I think I can handle it.

Does anyone here have any memories of High School or any words of advice? Did you enjoy High School, and would you consider it better than Middle School?

hey, i just started a few weeks ago. i know theres about a thousand things runnign through your mind, but you have to remember, most people have done it and survived. remember all those funny middle school stories? the only things that change are the content of the dialect in them, the people involved and the setting. if you're really freaked out, like i was, the 1st few days will be hard (believe me, i tripped down the stairs and was late to a class bc i couldnt find my locker, sry this istn helpign) but on the whole, even if the classes are boring and you have problems w/ the person you have a crush on, good friends always help. and you cant let the overwhelmign stuff overpower just hanging out with your friends. (plus, in HS, you get to leave campus for lunch, and other fun abilities that will vary depenging on your school). if u notice, the juniors and seniors feel so comfortable there, tehy had to start somewehre right? just get through the 1st day, adn the 2nd, dare i say even the 3rd, will be a lot less nerve-racking. i hope u have fun with it, too. good luck~!

Um, to be honest high school was cool for what it was, I guess. Especially when you're new to it and you get to hang with the older kids in some classes such as gym. That can be a hoot. But mostly, I'm not the kid to ask because for 11th grade and 12th grade, I was pretty depressed. Nothing seemed good to me during that time.

But I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

And where the hell are you that it's only June 6th tomorrow, England?! >_>

2morrow I'm going and starting a new High School (10th Grade). Don't worry about a thing. High School is a great place, just don't listen to people making fun of you for being a freshmen. Just be yourself and try to be out going if you don't have a lot of friends. Also, get to know your new teachers too. Teachers are always friendly to freshmens. If you don't know where your classes are, ask your teacher where the classes are or ask someone who works at the school. Try not to mess with the Seniors or Juniors at school, sometimes they could throw you in the trash can (I saw some of them did it to my classmates last year). Don't be afraid of anyone at High School, just act as if you know the place in the back of your head. Be sure to come to school about thirty minutes early, because if you're late for the first day of school, it's a bad impression for your teachers. GOOD LUCK!!! :)

lol, you put "june". Still wish it was summer huh?

Anyway, I really don't know why I was so scared as a freshman. The ONLY new problem I had was that I would get lost to class.
The kids don't necessarily get MEANER, they just stay mean.
Of course you may have more problems with drugs, alcohol and sex, depending on who you hang with.
The teachers aren't scary! And the classes aren't hard. Don't make this a big deal like I did, lol. Dress in a tshirt and jeans tomorrow, make sure you bring your supplies and a smile, and find your friends to see if you have classes together.
Good luck!

HS was one of the happiest times of my life. I had a great time, made many close friends, some of whom I still see once in while. Lots of great memories. Middle school I try not to think of. So good luck and I hope you have as great a time as I did. Stay away from getting wasted, keep your grades up, but otherwise stay focused on new experiences and the simple enjoyment of being young and healthy - and also making the most of your new level of freedom.

high school is the best 4 years ever. make sure you get involved and do whatever you want because after high school everyone goes their own ways and you will end up making new friends in college. don't get pressured into doing anything you don't want to but don't be a baby. and hook up with as many people as you can. good luck and have fun

I just started high school almost three weeks ago now. It hasn't really been that bad for me yet, I guess. You just have to make sure that you really try your best on your homework and try to get good grades, especially if you plan on going to college. Good luck, it's not as bad as most people think it's gonna be.

I had my first kiss and best boyfriend there. I'm entering senior year, which is both fun and daunting.

My advice? Enjoy your time there, and don't slack in your classes. It'll pay off when you have to forward your transcript to college. And don't focus you're entire life around getting into college. Enjoy your time as a teenager. :)

If you wanna fit in, you gotta be preppy. Go get some AE, Hollister, A&F outfits, wear expensive sandals. Have a expensive bookbag. Of course, if you can't do that, you are gonna be in the outcast group, but thats okay, there's always the emo, gothic and the nerds that you can hang out with :)

do you mean september 6th?

Grade 9 sucked but it got better and then college was much better. Middle school sucked, too. I think your high school experience will be better than middle school
