I have my favorite bands that made me different from all my friends....they all listened to Pink Floyd, Zeppelin, Guns & Roses.....boring crap like that! I listened to The Ramones, The Damned, Lush, etc! I couldn't listen to the stuff my friends listened to because...well, I guess I'm a music snob!!

I'm told I can be a bit of a snob. Not so much due to my tastes being limited, as I love all kinds of music, but rather because I have been listening to and collecting music passionately for close to 50 years. So sometimes when conversing with someone who thinks they might know a lot...I guess I have a tendency to dominate the conversation with my vast knowledge.
I guess that last sentence pretty much answered that question! Haaaa!

Not much of one at all.
My two best loved genres are Classic Rock and Classic Metal.
But I like at least a few songs from all of the following genres
Classical (Ravel, Strauss, Beethoven)
Bluegrass (Ralph Stanley)
Classic Country (Johhny Cash, Hank Jr)
Grunge (Nirvana)
Grunge Metal (Alice In Chains)
Alternative (Radiohead)
Pop (Bryan Adams, The Pretenders, Coldplay)
Disco (KC & The Sunshine band)
Punk (The Clash, The Damned, The Ramones)
Jazz (Stanley Jordan, Miles Davis)
Fusion (Jeff Beck, Jan Hammer)
Reggae (Bob Marley)
Classic R&B (Marvin Gaye)
Gangsta Rap (Ice Cube, Dr Dre)
Old School Rap (Run D.M.C.)
Thrash Metal (Metallica, Megadeth)
Alternative Country (The Jayhawks)
Along with my favorite Band/s of the genre.
So no I'm not at all Musically Snobbish.

Not nearly as much of one as Deke is, but I can be snobby about it. I don't try to be, I just love music so much - all genre's, all generations - and of course, like we all do, I think *I* know what's the best in each. And usually I am pretty good at picking what was, is or will be a classic.
You have superb tastes as well Bettie!

I'm not at all. but i won't listen to anything that disrespects another human being and plus i don't want that crap to filter through my ears anyhow. I dislike rap for this reason and because it doesn't seem like anyone in the rap game is talented except a few [i.e. Kanye west and Jay-z] aside from that i tend to be pretty open minded. but mostly I only listen to rock and a few artists from the 70's and eighties.

I despise snobs...people out there whining about the music world, coercing people into listening music that just doesn't fit them...using the terms "real music" blablablablablablabla...it sucks....they think they are part of some elite force of music...they're really idiots!

Anybody that doesn't like Prokofiev's 7th Piano Sonata, 3rd movement, as performed by the late and great Sviatoslav Richter, is a nimrod. Hope that's snobbish enough for you. And thank you for the question, I know I can always count on you for two points.

I guess I'm in the middle of the spectrum. I know what I like and I pretty much stay within those genres, however I'm not into bashing other styles of music or fans of that particular genre. If I don't like it, I just don't listen to it.

I'm proud to say my Skid Row days are behind me and I now have an impeccable taste in music. I listen to KEXP. I snicker at eTown's guest list. I use Velvet Underground as the butt of a joke.
But sometimes I listen to pop when the windows are rolled up.
