What is the least amount of miles I need for an 07 civic before I can drive it on freeways? I would like to as soon as possible because it would make getting to school a lot easier (if you've been to Vegas, you know passing the strip can be a real pain lol)

Also it has about 350 miles so far, and I'm getting really tempted to get on the freeway so would it be bad if i drove on it now? What would that do to my car?

I was told not to drive it more then 55mph and on freeways the min speed limit is 65mph i thought the freeway speed would be a problem.

Get on the freeway and go. New cars don't need no breakin. Just drive it.

Here it is--drive at 50 on the feeeway--it gets the oil up to the top and circulated better than low speed city stop and go driving. When you get to 1000 miles--do an oil and filter change. gets any slivers out from the factory. Then you can drive a bit faster. Treat the car with respect and drive like a normal human being--it should serviced every 3000 miles--it will last you forever. The big enemy is abuse

Cars don't really require breaking in any more. Have you read that paperback book in the glove box I suggest you do just that! And tomorrow go for the freeway. See there is no real running in procedure any more just vary the loads and rpm's for about the first 1,500 miles and I would reccomend changing the oil as soon as you get 1,000 miles on it with regular oil to get metal particals out that wear off the new parts during initial run in. And use the Mobil One after the 4,000 oil change....

new cars dont need to be "broken in" who told you that crap? come on, you test drive them brand new with like 4 miles on it at the dealership, and you should be taking it on the freeway when you do that. city driving is much harder on your car than freeway driving is, I cant imagine where you got your information.

Who told you not to drive the car at highway speeds during break in? I never heard that one before.Just drive it ,it won't hurt anything at all to take it on the freeway.
