1/-4 - (-1/3)
-----------------
5/-12 - 7/4

Let's work on the numerator first
1/(-4) - (-1/3) =
-1/4 + 1/3 =
-3/12 + 4/12 =
1/12

Now let's work on the denominator
5/(-12) - 7/4 =
-5/12 - 7/4 =
- 5/12 - 21/12 =
- 26/12 =
-13/6

Now we invert the denominator and multiply, like so
1/12 divided by -13/6 =
1/12 * -6/13 =
-6/156 =
-1/26

(1/-4)+ 1/3 = (3/-12) + (4/12) = 1/12

(5/-12) - (21/12) = 26/-12

(1/12) / (26/-12) = 1/-26

so the answer is 1/-26..
