If I touch up my car with sandable primer, should I wait until I'm ready to get it painted to sand it down, or go ahead and sand it. How much would I be looking at for a decent paint job, not excellent just good>

Maaco 499 to 699 for just good to just better than good. You would not catch my car in there. I would find a painter who would actually touch up and fill chips and sand, primer and block sand primer again then apply color and clear. But that costs over 2,500. Just remember is the car valuable enough for a complete repaint.

Macco paint will fall off within a few days or 1 year.

I have yet to see 1 1/2 way decent paint job come from them.

I have however stripped off plenty of their paint jobs

macco is the place ya want to go for, not excellent that's for sure! don't prime or sand until ready to paint, you'll just be inviting in contamination,if you haven't been doing this for 20yrs+ like mua!,Id spend 3k to have someone that has do the job right,if not have macco do it for 699,then sell the car quick, before the paint peals off
